9. About the Certificate Course: This course is an introduction into the concepts of data analysis. Data analysis involves collecting, cleansing, transforming, and modelling data to discover useful information, suggesting conclusions, and enable decision-making. Participants will gain an understanding of the data ecosystem and the fundamentals of data analysis, such as data gathering, data visualisation and analysis of data.
10. Objective of the Certificate Course: Primary objective of the certificate course is to expose the participants in to the world of data analysis. After successful completion of the programme, participants will be able to understand different methods of data collection, indentifying different types of data sources, visualisation of data in terms of statistical summary tables and charts and diagrams, understanding causality between different sets of variables, understanding the basic tools of impact evaluation etc. Participants will learn how to perform the above mentioned data analyses using MS-Excel.
