- Celebration of World Enterprenenrs Day 2024
Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) of Brahmananda Keshab Chandra (BKC) College celebrated the World Entrepreneurs’ Day on 29th August 2024 at the college premises in association with Pidilite Industries Limited. Ms. Sarasi Dasroy, Fevicryl Certified Artist was the resource person.

- Workshop on Art and Craft 2024
Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) of Brahmananda Keshab Chandra (BKC) College had organized a One-Day Hands-On Workshop on “Art and Craft” on 5th August, 2024 in association with Pidilite Industries Limited. The workshop aimed to nurture entrepreneurial spirit and explore diverse employment opportunities in handicrafts, fashion and interior decoration sectors. Ms Munmun Kundu, Pidilite certified trainer gave a hands-on training to prepare fashion jewellery using Mouldit and acrylic colours.

- Workshop on Vermecompsting 2024
Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) of Brahmananda Keshab Chandra (BKC) College organized a One-Day Hands-On Workshop on “Vermicomposting- Reuse the Biowaste” on 15th July, 2024, Monday. The speaker and workshop coordinator was Mr. Sayanta Das, Entrepreneur and Proprietor of Saswati Agrotech. The workshop convenor was Dr. Sourav Sikdar, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, Brahmananda Keshab Chandra College. The workshop aims to make homemade organic compost & encourage young minds to start a cost-effective start-up.

- Students' Week Celebration 2024
IIC-BKC College organized a poster making competition on 5.1.24 on “An Innovative Idea” to celebrate the Students’ week. Five teams each comprising of 3 members participated in the competition and made the posters in front of the council members. The topics of the posters were varied and range from “Eco brick: Sustainable Development”, “Plastic Books: The future library occupiers”, “Integrating Augmented Reality (AR) in the Educational Sphere”, “DNA Barcoding: Innovation and Future Prospect” to “Tech-Hayfusion as economic alternative for enhanced aqua-production”.

- A National Seminar on “Scope of Intellectual Property Rights” on 6th Oct, 2023
The National seminar on “Scope of Intellectual Property Rights” was held in the premises of Brahmananda Keshab Chandra College on 6th October, 2023. The seminar was organized by Institution’s Innovation Council and IPR Cell, B.K.C. College and E-Yuva Centre, Adamas University (supported by BIRAC). Seventy five participants registered for the seminar which included students and teachers from BKC College and faculty members and research scholars from other institutes.

- One day Orientation Program on Translational Research and Bioentrepreneurship on 16th Nov, 2022
A one day orientation session was held at the College premises on "Translational Research and Bio-entrepreneurship" on 16th November, 2022. The program was organized jointly by the Research Monitoring Committee and the Institute's Innovation Cell (IIC) of the College. Dr. Saptarshi Chatterjee, Chief- Coordinator and Principal Project Investigator BIRAC, E-YUVA Center, Adamas University, Barasat and Dr. MousumiS aha, Project Coordintor, E-YUVA Center, Adamas University served as the resource persons. The Program was coordinated by Dr. Sourav Sikdar and anchored by Dr. Neelakshi Sarkar.
Dr. Saptarshi Chatterjee emphasized on the process of turning ideas into real applicable projects, discussed about BIRAC and the procedure of application for fellowship. He introduced the concept of design thinking and had put forward numerous examples of successful Entrepreneurs. The resident E-YUVA fellow team along with their mentor Dr. Sourav Sikdar of our college was applauded for their achievements after which Dr. Mousumi Saha was engaged in an interactive session with the attending teachers and students.
A large number of students and teachers participated in the event including participation from Prashanta Chandra Mahalanobis college who were also invited for the session.
- Signing of MOU with E-YUVA Centre, Adamas University, a Centre supported by Biotechnology Industry & Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) on 5th December, 2022. As a part of the MOU both the institutions will organise seminar/webinar, capacity building program, technical workshops etc. related to innovation & entrepreneurship jointly. The students and faculty members of both the institutions will exchange ideas and will utilize the available facilities in future.
This MOU shall continue in full force and effect up to 3 years from the date of signing i.e. upto 4th December 2025.
